Retiree Chapters

The information below will give you a little more detail about where our Chapters are located around the State of Maine.


If you wish to select a Chapter based on where you live or an interest that you may have you can print the name of the Chapter at the bottom of the Retiree Membership Application after you fill it out.  See link below


If you are already an MSEA Retiree Member and want to change to a different Chapter you must submit your request in writing.  An email would be considered a written request and it can be sent to mseaseiu@mseaseiu.org .  Please include you name, current assigned Chapter, the Chapter you wish to be placed in and a phone number in case of any questions.


If you would rather send your request via postal mail please provide the same information and mail to: MSEA-SEIU, Local 1989, 5 Community Drive, Unit 3, Augusta, ME 04330

Chapter Activities and Photos

We encourage all of our retiree chapters to submit photos of meetings and events.  You can submit photos and event information through the "Contact Us" form on the Home Page.


If a chapter has submitted a photo or information there will be a Chapter Activities button with a link.

Androscoggin Valley Retirees

Androscoggin Valley Retirees covers retiree members who live in the general area of Androscoggin. Oxford and Sagadahoc Counties


Examples of cIties and towns included are Auburn, Bath , Lewiston, Lisbon, Norway, Oxford, Paris and Richmond.

Area II Retirees of MSEA

Area II Retirees covers retiree members who live in the general area of Kennebec County.


Examples of cities and towns included are Augusta, Gardiner, Litchfield Readfield, Sidney, Waterville and Winthrop.

Area II Retirees of MSEA Chapter Activities

Aroostook County Retirees

Aroostook County Retirees covers retiree members who live in the general area of Aroostook County.


Examples of citie and towns included are Ashland, Caribou, Fort Fairfield, Fort Kent, Houlton, Mars Hill, Presque Isle and Woodland,.

Eastern Maine Retirees

Eastern Maine Retirees covers retiree members who live in the general area of Penobscot  County.


Examples of cities and towns included are Bangor, Brewer, Carmel, Dixmont, East Millinocket, Hampden, Lincoln and Orono.

Harold West Retirees

Harold West Retirees covers retiree members who live in the general area of Hancock and Washington Counties.


Examples of cities and towns included are Baileyville, Bar Harbor, Calais, Castine, Eastport, Ellsworth, Machias and Mount Desert.

Midcoast Retirees

Midcoast Retirees covers retiree members who live in Knox,  Lincoln and Waldo Counties.


Examples of cities and towns included are Boothbay, Camden, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Newcastle, Rockland, Thomaston and Vinalhaven.

Western Mountain Retirees

Western Mountain Retirees covers retiree members who live in Franklin, Somerset  and Piscataquis  Counties.


Examples of cities and towns included are Dover-Foxcroft, Farmington, Jay, Milo Norridgewock, Rangeley, Sangerville and Skowhegan.

Southern Maine Retirees

Southern Maine Retirees covers retiree members who live in Cumberland and York Counties.


Examples of cities and towns included are Biddeford, Cumberland, Kennebunk, North Berwick, Portland, Scarborough, Windham and York.
